I would like to extend my latop VPCS111FM to 8 gb of Ram (heavy user of VMware), i can't find any manual for this machine (only a basic quick install came with it and no more is available on the website) - What are the exact specs 4gb ddr3 204 pins but is it 1333 i think probably 1066 ? pc38500? - I open the 2 screws of the memory location but the cover seems stuck, is there any trick to remove it? any help would be appreciated

It's almost safe to say that if it's DDR3 spec then the mainboard will accommodate 8GB as the Max. And as for the speed, I believe only the high-end i5/i7's actually use the 1333mhz speed whereas you can buy that speed memory for your notebook and it will work, it'll just work at a downclocked rate of 1066mhz. PC3-8500 is probably the spec you want.

You can also run the Crucial Memory Scanner which will show you what memory you have and what you can use ect.

If you look on the memory tab of CPUID then it will tell you how much/what kind of memory you already have installed. Then you can take the type of memory you have installed, and use that to find some new..
