I also should check headphones jack because it switches off speakers for headphones and it could be broken too, so there is no sound to headphones or speakers.
P/N for that board is A-1828-964-A and it names V030 MS/SD DAUGHTER BOARD

    THX

I already exchange this board (btw is IFX-579) and same no sound

I check all flat cables (measured by multimeter) and still not audio output

audio icon there and if you play audio level shows but analogue realtek not send to the speakers and headphones.

I really don't know what can be wrong. I already repaired of 100-ths of VAIO's but this one make me crazy

probably MBX 237 I dont know

My vaio in first place did not see realtek audio card at all, after messing with the yellow dual layer flex that links daughter board with main one the card appeared in the hardware manager but no sound on the output at all. Forgot to mention, the backlite keyboard is also not working, I wonder is it possible to adress this problem directly to sony? Its just so weird, everything has been replaced apart from motherboard - but mobo shouldnt be an issue as the realtek chip is on the daughter board?

I have same problem with VPCSE (quite similar to VPCSB)

I did bake motherboard (only motherboard, not daughter board with realtek chip on it). Before baking audio was working fine (but was crashing constantly.) Now laptop work fine except no sound (device is visible in windows and it shows no problem with audio)

You guys might have motherboard issue.
I have answered in detail to another similar post.
Actually, speakers are controlled by chipset. Chipset sends signal to audio chip to enable or disable speakers.
That's the reason why you have almost everything but no sound to speakers.

The indicator shows that the sound plays. But not in the speakers not the headphones are inserted into the slot there is no sound.
Do not know what to do. Did someone solve it?
