Hey guys, my VPCZ1 has just arrived. I really wanted to create a separate partition instead of having just one partition. Is that possible? Anyways, the main reason why Im trying to do this is because on my older pc, I had all my iTunes music on a separate hard disk, and in order for my playlists and iTunes stuff to work, I would have to have my music on a G:/ drive...
    Any ideas?
    Thankfully,

A workaround if you don't partition is to share out the folder, and then mount it as a network share on G:

Even better (as you don't send everything through a network layer) is to create a batch file and place it in your startup folder, with something like this:
    subst G: "C:/Users/baracat/My Music"
(The batch file is needed because "subst" does not survive after a reboot.)

If you want to create separate partitions, run a defrag (with a 3rd party defragmenter that can consolidate the space), and then shrink your C: partition from the Drive Mangler. After that, you should have free space you can create a new partition on.

Or, you can of course re-install Window with a new partition scheme.

    Enough solutions? :D

Hey i used Partition Wizard 5 for paritioning. Its free and easy to use. Windows built in partition manager only shrank my C drive to 250gb. Have fun!
