I'm running Win7x64 Ultimate on my VPCZ12, and I originally followed forum steps for a clean install. I'm currently running the very latest Intel drivers (only, not ProSET) on the 6200AGN, which works fine, except that it's really slow to resume from sleep or hibernate (taking anywhere from probably 20 seconds to over a minute, and sometimes requiring a manual reconnect).

On a related note, a little while ago I realized my bluetooth wasn't working (at all), and I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get that solved, including reinstalling all related drivers (like SmartWii), and the uninstall/reinstall order seemed crucial, but I think I even needed to use alternative install procedures to finally get it working. I can't even retrace my steps on that.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue on their Z and has figured out a way to get the wireless to resume quickly. I actually think it worked better right after the clean install, but I really can't remember at this point.

I don't go into sleep/hibernation much on my Z (since boot times are crazy fast), but are you using the drivers provided by Sony? If so, have you tried the newer ones posted on Intel's site?

As for your clean installation, Sony actually has an order in which they advise you to install your drivers

Why don't you recover back to a factory image?

btw, i just thought of the BT issue. I had this issue similarly, because the first thing I uninstalled was smartwi when i firstly got the laptop. Solved it by reinstalling the smartwi, enable the BT, and then uninstall the smartwi cuz I didn't want bloatware.
