    Hi there...

Is there any way to switch on the keyboard backlight even in e.g. broad daylight?

Sometimes, i sit in the dark, but my screen is too bright for the light sensor to recognize its actually dark outside. So it wont turn on my Keyboard backlight. For now I use a little piece of duct tape to put over the sensor but that seems to me like what caveman would have done to their Sony :)
    Any advice???

    Thx
    AO

I don't think there is a way to activate backlight manually, your trick is the best now.

If you are using XP, activating the backlight manually is the only option.

    I don't know if it's possible under Windows 7.

Edit: One thing I hate is that you can't control the brightness of the keyboard backlight. I would prefer to have it less bright than the max. :\
