    uhh from what i can tell, no, that model does NOT have the Gobi Wireless card which means you can not insert a SIM card to get service. However, there is a "slot" for the SIM card that if you dont have the card and put in your SIM card, you're probably going to have to open up your vaio to get your SIM, if it doesnt short the motherboard first...

    there is a slot opening for the SIM card... but since the model itself doesn't have the device, its entrance is blocked. hence you can't even slot the SIM in
