I'm in the process of buying a Z13 from Hong Kong as well, I think the high-end models are Glossy Premium Carbon; but depending on the location, there are different models, such as VPCZ139GG/XQ.

So all in all, I guess it comes down to where in Asia you purchase it, but I know for a fact that the Sony Style store in Hong Kong only had a single colour available.

In fact, the models on the Hong Kong site all have the model extension shown in the browser's title bar. B is black, XQ is Glossy Premium Carbon (I think), X is Premium Carbon and S is silver. Thus confirming what I said, high-end models are Glossy Premium Carbon, rest seems to be black, at least for the Z series.

For the Chassis, there are only 2 colors, the gray and the silver. There are, however a plethora of lid color options, but for the most part, unless you're getting a silver, metal mosaic or metal shield lid, the chassis will be gray. The silver, metal mosaic and the metal shield come with the silver chassis.

note, by chassis, i mean the aluminum on the face of the keyboard. The bottom will stay black for all models

As for cases, you can try the ZeroShock III or IV and check out this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/291748-vaio-z-sleeves-bags-cases-thread.html

especially near the end where the owner of Mach 3 Composites has decided to make custom Vaio Z cases (he took a 12" one of his cases and changed the mold inside to perfectly fit the Z w/o extended batt) The cases are either carbon fiber or carbon kevlar, up to you. They should start shipping in January... and i think they're a lot more protective than that overpriced leather on Sony's site :p, just my 2 cents
