About 6 years ago I was employed by a company that assigned me a Sony Vaio PCG-F650. since I produce music as a hobby, I decided to sample the startup chime of this laptop. When I played it back after filtering it, the Bass hidden with this chime was off the chain!! I saved the file on some media that eventually went bad so I have lost this sample. I would like to collect various models of Vaio's Startup chimes until I get the one I had. If anyone has this model # of laptop and would be kind enough to sample the startup chime and email it to me I would appreciate it as well as ANY model VAIO startup CHimes.. Email [email protected]

    Thanks
    Jerry

Do you mean the sound that the laptop makes when the logo "VAIO" appears? Well, I'm using Creative speakers and a subwoofer, and the bass is incredibly strong when the Vaio logo appears. I mean, incredible, like I can feel the vibration on my floor when the chime goes off. Unfortunately I don't have a mic to record it. Sorry. :( The model I am using is a VGN-N250E, though.

Hey Gazelle, Thanks for the Reply...and yES That is the one I am talking about when the LOGO appears..That Bass resolution is Amazing isn't it? I wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy and was the only one to notice this. If you download REPLAY MUSIC, you can record anything that is sent to your sound Card. http://www.replay-music.com/downloads.php. If you have a chance, try it out and jet me the file. Thanks

I'm still not quite sure why you want to hear the chime, but I took a video of my laptop as it was restarting.

I filmed my Vaio N250E with my camera, a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T100. Enjoy.

Oh man...I could hear the Bass potential just through the Camera!! but I would help to have the Actual .WAV or .MP3 to get the Full effect. Did you try that Replaymusic link? Tell you what, you get me the file, I will make a Song with the sample, and I will post it here on the board for everybody to hear...For real man I would love this wav. I was so tempted to by a laptop off ebay just for this purpose!! Your laptop has the sound I am looking for..

I'm not sure how this would work. Once I start recording with the Replay Music program, I will have to restart my laptop. So, how would this record the start-up chime?
