very interesting, i was looking at a review on cnet for the hdx18 and they seem to have a comparison with the AW in the Charts and the vaio AW even with the slower processor STILL turned out better performance numbers, have a look:

Keep in mind the AW had 4gb of ram vs 3gb in the HP, I'm sure that makes a nice difference in a 64-bit OS.

Also,as Rahul said,AW beat HP in tests where it needs more ram,not CPU

Great find! I'm considering getting an AW and now this makes my case stronger. Toshiba and Acer have 5400rpm drives, you can't really compare those can you? Also if you bump up the AW to 2.8, could it probably move up a notch in the iTunes encoding section?

That article is soo wrong. How could a maxed out Acer Aspire 8920 with a 9650GS do the worse in a comp with three other lappies with 9600GTs? Also, It had a t9300, and also did worse then laptops with a p7350??
