    EEerrr, I don't personally trust eBay at all, especially when it comes to electronics.

    Anything that asks you to contact a person or persons outside of eBay for a "good deal," is screaming scam.

    gmail, yahoo, hotmail and other addresses are the icing on the cake for such requests.

    Yes, it is a scam. Any seller who asks you to email him first before you can bid is a scam. It is also a tell tale sign of account take over. The seller user id has been HIJACKED!

    EDIT: eBay pulled the listing!
