    Hi,

I recently got this Sony laptop. To reduce weight, the optical drive can be replaced with the weight saver which I am not able to figure out. I could not find information in manual.
I can not take off the weight saver and so, I can not use the optical drive.

I would really appreciate help regarding this.

    regards,
    Dushyant

To take out the weight saver just press the tab that is right under the VAIO logo where the drive should go and the weight saver will go loose and you'll easily be able to pull it out. Toss in your optical and you're good to go!
