Does anybody else have this problem or know how to solve it?

Everytime I try to use my webcam that is integrated above the notebook screen a window appears saying that there is another program or software currently using it.

It happens when I use the camera capture utility program, when i try to record videos online (eg. facebook), when i try to skype.. everything! There is never any program running that would even need the camera function, so i do not understand why it doesn't work.

When I try to access the camera utility settings from control panel or program files, the toolbar for the camera appears for a split second and then disappears.

    What do I do??

Yes, i also have this problem.... i mean, each time i open the camera utility, 1 of every 5 times, it doesn't load properly, and gives an error claiming that another program is using it. I usually reboot, and then it works. I'm thinking in asking sony support online. maybe tomorrow... its 1:00 am, and 'i'm kind of tired.

Start your task manager (ctrl + alt + del) and try to isolate what program is using your camera. Which CR is this btw? CR120, 190, 220 or 290? I've never had this problem with my CR190 (I've installed a new copy of Vista on it though to get rid of the bloatware).

This probably isn't what you're looking to hear, but I have never had this problem with my Vaio CR 123E/B
I did uninstall a lot of things when I bought it.
