    to all expirts!

I puchased SONY VAIO CR220 in Dubai, UAE. from a local vendor.
I am having a very strange hapening, it has Intel Processor Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHZ T7250 by specification given on USER MANUAL and on the Box.
After the installation done when i checked system/properties there it shows
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 @ 2.0Ghz @ 2.0Ghz

but when when i check in to Hardware/Device Manager/Processor
    there it shows
    Intel Core 2 Duo T2330 @ 1.60GHz @ 1.60GHz
i was surprised how is that possible, i went to vendor with machine they checked also and replaced to another new unit, on the spot we start the machine after installation when we checked specs it was the same again with new unit.

So what is the problem with the machines wich are showing 2GHz by software
but on hardware its 1.60GHz, WHY????????????????????????
OR whats the solution ? Is it realy assambled with 1.60GHz processor or software is not complitly compatible with hardware?
Please reply me here or on email: mughalsahb@yahoo. com

I think i saw a thread about this before, you do have the 2.0 ghz but i think sonys software or something that they put makes it look incorrect. sony posted drivers in their website to fix the issue (at least for the sz). you should check for the CR

You might also want to download and run CPU-Z, which will tell you which processor you actually have.

sony did post a fix on their support driver site. it should fix your issue. my cr240 reads just fine, and we have the same processor and just about everything else.
