    Vaio Camera and AIM Video not working

    So i have a new vaio VGN-FZ180E, and i just tried to use the video conferencing feature of AIM and when i connect to the video it says this

    "ATTENTION (5:53:03 PM): Your camera is already being used by another application. Please exit all applications that are currently using the camera and try again."

    the camera is not being used by any application


    Any ideas for a fix?

    end all processes that might have anything to do with the camera or that may be using any of its features, I would retart your computer as well

    You need to downgrade to AIM 5.9.

    there is nothing running that uses the camera, i restarted several times still did not work


    why would the newest version of AIM not work?

    Hello.

    Sony VCCU (Vaio Capture Camera utility ) has an issue right now with the lates AIM try downgrading into a lower version anf it will work. I think there still working on the patch for that issue.

    Because the camera software for the VAIO still not compatible with the lates AIM version.
