    Vaio Care Disk Cleaner deleted my files!

    I ran the Vaio Care utility and the Disk Cleaner function deleted most of the files on my desktop! I couldn't find them anywhere and luckily I found that the utility has a "Undo Cleaning" function which managed to restore the files.

    I checked the Disk Cleaner Options and all the listed areas to be cleaned appear safe (IE cache, Firefox cache, temp, etc).

    What's up with the utility deleting almost all the files on my desktop??

    I keep my desktop pretty clean (I have two files on it) so it didn't delete desktop files, but it did delete files that prevented some programs from opening or working properly after cleaning (such as my IM programs). Weirdly, reinstalling them didn't help.

    I reverted back to before the cleaning and everything works fine. I haven't used it again, I just use cc cleaner.
