I have one of these on the way and I wanted to get a optical drive caddy to put in a 2nd hard drive. Does anyone know what the drive model number is or any other information that could help me figure out which caddy to order? I know I can just wait and check for myself, but I'd like to go ahead and order it to have one on hand when the computer gets here if possible. Unfortunately, the SONY website is pretty stingy with the details on what components are in the machine already.

I've mentioned this in a thread before. The drive bay of the E14p is shared with the Vaio SA. I know this because I swapped my blu ray from my old vaio SA for the DVD in the E14p (just change the mount on the rear and the cover on the front.

Thanks so much! I tried searching the forums before I posted, but obviously I didn't do well enough. I appreciate your help though. When you say you change the mount on the rear, what do you mean? The sata or ide connector? If so, which one does the e14p require?

It's not the Connector per se. Every DVD drive has a mounting in the back that the external screw connects to. Basically if you buy a caddy, you would unscrew two screws holding the mount on your DVD drive and screw them into the mount.
