I'm thinking about getting one of the Sony Vaio E series laptops for video editing, and maybe gaming. My budget's about $800 so the EB series seems to fit perfectly. What do you guys think of these?

If I were to get the EB series, then my specs would look something like:

    Intel® Core™ i3-370M processor (2.40GHz)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Matte Black
    320GB Hard Disk Drive (5400rpm)
    4GB (2GBx2) DDR3-SDRAM-1066
    15.5" VAIO Display with LED backlight (1366 x 768)
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 GPU (1GB VRAM)

But the EC series has a free upgrade to HD Premium Display, leaving my specs at:

    Intel® Core™ i3-370M processor (2.40GHz)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    320GB Hard Disk Drive (5400rpm)
    4GB (2GBx2) DDR3-SDRAM-1066
17.3" Full HD VAIO Premium Display (1920x1080) (Reg. price $100.00)
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5470 GPU (512MB VRAM)

Both will total at $819.99, but I'm wondering if there is any advantages/disadvantages the EB has over the EC besides the specs that I listed. If I go with the EB, I might possibly upgrade to a Core i5 processor ($899.99).

Another option was HP dv6t for $799.99:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-460M Dual Core Processor (2.53 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.8GHz
(i3 2.53GHz processor if I go with the HD 5650 1gb graphics card)
Graphics card 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5470 switchable graphics [HDMI, VGA] - For Dual Core Processors
    Memory 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Hard drive FREE Upgrade to 500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
Display 15.6" diagonal High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display (1366x768)
