    Hi all,

My sister got a Vaio E from the US

I see that the Windows 7 is not updated to SP1 and it doesn't show up at Windows update.
I've tried to download the SP1 installer from the web and install it manually, but it gives me an error and it seems I can't install it.

Does someone know how to fix this? :(

    Thanks in advance

What is the error you get?

It wasn't very detailed. It was just something like this:

"Could not install because of an error".

    Very weird

Yes, that's it. You won't see the SP1 update until you have installed all the other updates, which is kind of stupid, if you ask me, because the SP1 contains many of those very same updates. :p
