I have a few questions for those who use Sony Vaio E or F with FullHD screens (US glossy ones). I don't play games or watch movies, use mainly browser, standard office programs, sometimes Photoshop etc. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I can't imagine staring at a 15-16"screen in 1920x1080. I recently saw an older Dell, 15" 1680x1050, and thought the resolution was just right.

I wish there was Vaio E with 1600x900 screen, because I don't need fast processor. But since there isn't, I'm considering Vaio F with 1600x900 screen (which is slightly over my budget), or Vaio E with 1920x1080.

    Questions:
Is the 1600x900 screen in F any better or worse (quality wise) than FullHD (US versions)?

Does anyone use Vaio E (or F) with FullHD screen and dpi tweaking in Windows 7 - to make everything more readable? How does it work - are there any quirks that make it hard to use? Are icons on toolbars (esp. in Photoshop, where some icons are tiny) scaled up? Maybe someone could direct me to a screenshot?

    TIA
