    Vaio EA should i get 5400 or 7200 rpm HDD

    For anybody who has used the EA, does the 7200 take a lot more battery power and cause a lot more heat?

    not sure about the Vaio EA.

    But in general, 7200 rpm drives are louder, but don't necessarily take too much more battery power and cause more heat.

    But in general they are also faster.

    Ask what drive you would get and then report back.

    I changed a 5400 Samsung Spinpoint M for a 7200 Seagate Momentus XT, of course this is a hybrid drive, but it is now a very fast notebook that I have :D
