I'm posting this about my brother's comp. The line out/headphone jack has simply stopped working. I reinstalled the Realtek driver from Sony and everything is enabled but no headphone selection is available in the Sounds menu from Control Panel.

There is only Speakers and HDMI. In the Speakers menu it shows the black headphone jack dot and next to it, "Analog" and then if something is plugged into the headphone jack, it then additionally says "3.5MM line out" under it with another black dot but still no sound plays.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
