I have a new VAIO VPCF11NFX and would like to buy a monitor to use with it. I can't confirm anyplace whether it will support portrait orientation on HDMI. The only monitors I have around to try are DVI and VGA, and I can't find a portrait setting in the Nvidia settings for analog... so it seems that it doesn't so far.
Can any owners out there give me some advice here? I would really like to get a monitor that would work portrait, but my choice will be different if the video driver won't support it.
Thanks!

I'm wondering if something like PowerStrip will help?

Not sure about that... my question is just whether there is a checkbox on the Nvidia settings with HDMI to display as portrait instead of landscape.

I'm not sure CoolBits will unlock that option... And I meant to say iRotate rather than PowerStrip, though I think they're both written by the same company
(Later) Aarggh, I don't think either works, sorry -
Kudos to TofuTurkey! I tried Coolbits, and low and behold a "rotate" choice now appears. No monitor to try it with tonight, but I have one on order.
Thank you!
p.s. Don't suppose you have any ideas for how to make my 30" 2560x1600 display work (landscape). It pains me to give it up, but looks like I am about to. :-(
