    Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio F Series, and since this morning today it's not booting up, the thing is.

last night, I've set some downloads to run, and let the laptop on, but I forgot to plug it into the power, then it completly drained all it's battery and then "entered the sleep mode".

When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened, then I unplugged the battery and tried to turn it on, nothing happens, I've hold the power buttom without the battery and power to eliminate any power that it might have, again nothing happens...

The laptop turns on, some of the fans turn on, but that's it, nothing shows on the screen.

    any ideas?

    come one....
    no one knows?

My laptop is just dead after the battery drained to 0%..... I called Sony support, they don't know what to do, they told me to remove the battery and hold power buttom for 10 sec, then plug it into ACPower and try it again, but it's not working..

    please help.

Try turning it on without a battery, just AC plugged in. Then insert the battery once Windows has booted. Or is that something you've already tried?

EDIT: If you're not afraid to take the bottom cover panel off and look for the CMOS battery, you can unplug it, the battery, and the power, and hold the Power button for 30 seconds to reset the CMOS settings.

You most likely have 2 covers on the bottom, one for HDD, and one for RAM. Take the RAM cover off and see if it's there. It's a flat button cell shrink-wrapped in plastic with about a 2-inch wire plugged into the MoBo.

Thank you both very much, it worked.

I removed the CMOS Battery plug and reset the CMOS Battery holding the power button for 60 seconds.

Aparently it was some kind of bug involving the Windows 7 Hybernate function.

    Thank you!
