Hi-
I just installed a clean version of Vista Ultimate on my FE 690. Here are some of the issues I have stumbled on to. I downloaded the drivers from Sony Support and installed what I thought where the necessary ones in order to avoid a lot of Sony's junk software Thanks for any suggestions,
1. The volume level/brightness level display indicator is missing. The volume keys work but there is no visual indication. Any idea where I can get this?
2. Fn keys appears not to work. I cant change the LCD brightness through the Fn+F5/F6, but instead I have to do it through the Control Panel.
3. Can't install Acrobat Reader, its giving me the following message during installation: The Temp Folder is in a drive that is full or inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify you have write permission on the Temp folder. Weird because I am the administrator and have about 50 gb free.
Im sure Ill run into more issues but this is it for now. Thanks for you help!

Well most of the drivers are not located on the websites so HOPEFULLY you still have that partition in your hard drive. You should have backed out your partition into two dvd recovery discs. If you did check in there.
