I'm around 3 hours from formatting my FE590.

I've already made my backup discs, but I'd really like to do away with all the bloatware that would be once again on my system if I use those discs.

Scince I have the serial key for Media Center Edition then would it be a bad idea to just download an ISO of Media Center Edition and use my CDKEY to install?

Just a quick little add-on, I've been having a problem when I go to certain websites such as my college's WebCT to look at my grades and such, the screen will just go completely black and all that is left is a cursor. It does this with several sites, launch.com is another one that does it. If you have any fixes for that I would appreciate it.

    Thanks!

I had that experience too.. THE SCREEN GOING ALL BLACK... seems like it would happen whenever something was using java... but never figured it out.

That's exactly what I thought! I've updated my java and everything, nothing works.

This Sony purchase has been the most annoying thing ever. I can't get a clean install without running into 0239732 more problems and even when I install the way they "force" you to, the **** PC still wont work right.

It's slowly becoming my last Sony purchase.
