I have read contradictory specifications of this notebook from online sellers.

These two state that it has a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GT. Which is more powerful than a 7700 according to some benchmarks!

However others state it just has a normal 7600, which is worse than the 7700.

Which should I believe? Sony do not sell a version of the Sony Vaio FE41Z on their Sony Style website with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GT so should I assume its a lie?

Why would they write down the wrong card spec?

Its most likely just a normal Go 7600. Sony only has the Go 7600 GT in the 17" AR Series. Some sites don't have the correct information, because they just copy and paste or can't be bothered to look for the proper details. Always research the product in detail on the Internet to establish its true configuration.
