I'm checking the specs of the new FS Vaios and I noticed it comes with older DDR 333 RAM installed instead of the faster DDR2 533 which is supported by the new sonoma chipset.
What I would like to know is, if I would upgrade the RAM myself to DDRII would it work? or is the FS stuck with old DDR?

You should be able to add DDR2 on your own. Sony isn't the only one doing this, I suspect it's a cost cutting move as most people won't know or notice the difference. The FS isn't out yet though, so I don't know for certain they you'll be able to upgrade, but I don't see a reason why not. This is Sony though...
