Ok Sony, you got me again, The FS series with a larger footprint then the S Series was said not to have contained DDR2 and higher speed 5400 harddrives due to space constraints .... Well today you can buy an S Series with the same exact specs as the FS series with DDR2 and 5400rpm hard drives for preety much the same price?
Did I miss something here?

Whoever told you that Sony didn't put DDR2 and SATA 5400 RPM HDD in FS is because of size constraint is mis-informed. It is purely a business decision, as FS is considered an entry level consumer product that does not require all the high-end components to deliver the best performance possible.

It would be interesting to discuss Sony's business model for Vaios. One way of analysing such machines is not just through their technological clout but through target market: this might giveus insights about how they're going to develop the Vaio line. A feasible argument of course is that Sony do not really care that much about laptop gaming - maybe there are internal tensions in the Sony empire, with the playstation people saying ' stay off our turf'... and others might be trying to compromise and pull into different territory at the same time..
