help! yesterday i just bought this very nice laptop. as i open it for the first time it prompted me to create a restore disc. 2 DVD-R which i did.
so tried fresh install by using the DVD's i created. blah blah blah step by step.
the problem now is i remove already the eisa configuration which where the internal restore backup is located. (i assume that my disc is succesfully created)
now on installing via restore CD. im stuck on 6% and it giving me an error.
even on the sabayon DVD wont let me install. it asking me for localhost #
do you think my sata drive has this level of permission that i can remove or delete to be able to resume on vista or linux?
now im thinking to buy sata enclosure just to format the HD on my other pc..
thanks in advanced.

Hmmm...When I did a fresh install, I did not remove the recovery partition, just the primary partition, where I deleted the current config and installed a new Vista package. Could this have to do with the SATA driver install prior to the re-install of Vista (read the Vaio FW clean install thread).
You may want to give Sony support a call... -
i will. though now im going in BB to get the vista ultimate, yeah i know it can be downloaded anywhere but $69.99 is a nice steal. and its legal
i'll do fresh install later on.
