Has anyone with a Vaio FW290 tried to register an extended warranty with it? I tried over the web, and the FW290 does not show up in the list of models. When I called, they said to wait 3 or 4 weeks. That does not sound right to me.
Any advice?

Try to call this number Sony VAIO Extended Warranty (Sales/Purchases) - 866-766-9259.

And here I thought I was the only one....
I bought an FW190 in late August and have been having the WORST time getting Sony to send documentation or even *confirm* that I have the extended warranty. My FW came with no paperwork regarding the warranty. When I call Sales Customer Service they say that they see where I paid for the extended plan, but then give me the same "3-4 weeks" line before I will get it in the mail....even though it's been nearly 2 months. When I call the non-sales customer #, they claim they don't even see where I have it at all. I've called/emailed back and they just say that it's in the mail...I even called the company that handles their warranty service and they have no record of my system.
I don't like letting this go in the event that something happens down the road and I *did* pay more for this warranty. It just seems odd that it's so hard to get a straight answer and I'm not sure what else I can do... -
I called them again and they said that they could add the model into the system. We will see. You would think they would have this stuff ready to go when they launch new models.
