Purchased this today, had a bad power jack.I was able to wiggle it a bit got a couple of batt indicators to flash, and eventually found the right spot and it booted.Repositioned it(kinda pushing it to the side)and everything went out. Opened it, and the board doesn;t seem to be cracked.Wondering if the jack becomes completely undone will it cause it not to power up even on batt power?Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

If you bought it today, you can return it immediately as well. Why risk the potential for a new notebook to be a lemon?

Risking opening a notebook that obviously has something wrong with it seems a little ill-advised too ---- companies make invalidating your warranty pretty easy these days, right?

The notebook was used, I bought it cheap, knowing that there was an issue with the jack.I was wondering, could I have ceated a new problem by messing with it?Are there any internal fuses on these board I may have blown?New to laptops learning as I go.Any insight anyone can give I am grateful for.
