    If so, is there a guide/is it in the manual somewhere?

    And does it void the warranty ?
    (I plan on getting a 3 year accidental coverage plan).

    There is no need of a guide for this easy task. Just open 2 screws at the back. It doesn't void the warranty.

    Hmm...I might go ahead and buy soon then. I don't want to wait for a 16.4" notebook, too big.

    There are instructions in the PDF manual and as coolguy said, it is very easy to do. Actually, my FZ only required me to remove 1 screw.
