    Hi,

Plugged my HDMI cable into my TV (Sharp) and laptop Vaio FZ.

    1. PICTURE
The picture was very jittery, and poor in quality, and not a smooth playback at all.

I went for the replicate my screen - display.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    2. SOUND
How do i control the sound output, so i can output sound through the HDMI.

    Thanks

For best performance you should set your HDMI output to the native resolution of your TV (either 720 o 1080p) and only use one screen at a time (close you lid and then plug the HDMI cable). Use a USB or Wireless mouse for control.
Sound output should be automatic. You should set HDMI sound input on your TV.

You need to install the Blu-Ray Disk Update first, SOAOTH-01598200-US.EXE, check the updates for your laptop. Then, make sure you connect to the HDTV as a single display and then if you don't have sound, then you need to go to the Vista control panel and select sound and make sure HDMI sound is enabled. Takes some persistance, but you can get WinDVD to display Blu-Ray movie and sound on a Vaio FZ. If you continue to have issues use the chat with Sony support as they are pretty good.
