I have the latest K-Lite Codec Mega Pack, and use Media Player Classic.

    My FZ has a T7100 and a 8400GM I think.

When playing Divx movies when there is high action there is a sort of flicker on the screen. When playing back on HDMI this is even worse.

    Any solutions?

From research i'm sure its a FFD Show + Vista issue.

What does VLC use to decode?

    Yes.

I think it could possibly be a Direct X issue?

    Help appreciated.

Same here, no trouble at all with DIVX movies.

Try ditching the codec pack and Media player classis. Totally uninstall BOTH of them. Then try VLC and the DIVX player. Neither of these require the CODEC pack and there have been reports of issues with it.

If you still have trouble go ahead and uninstall both VLC and DIVX player and reinstall them. I am suggesting this last bit so that the registry gets purged of all traces of the codec pack.

    Also two questions:

    1. What else is running when this occurs? Is there some other app(s) going?
    2. Are these STREAMED files or are you playing files from the hard drive?
