    Hi guys how are you?? i am actuly from saudi arabia and my brother is coming to ksa in about 10 days and he will buy me vaio fw but i am so lost between the 2 colors and i didn't see them in person because the new vaios are not avalible in the ksa until 2 months so can you guys tell me which one is looking nicer in person plzzz?!?!? (iknow italk too much XD ) :D

    I went for gray myself. Remember if you get the white exterior the keyboard is white too instead of black.

    I don't really like the gray one because of the black keys and the silver bezel around it. Looks too much like the old Dell inspirons, which were butt-ugly. Large, unused bezels is also a turnoff for me.

    Am I the only one that wants an FW in all black? I'm disappointed it wasn't an option, and I feel that they won't add it as an extra color option in the future. :(

    Between white and grey, I would go for white.

    I've seen the grey in real life and found it a bot boring.

    i'm going to get the grey fw for myself. i have a grey fs745p/h right now which has black keys. Its almost 3 years old but its really hard to tell it even up to a year old. My friend has a white fs and i believe he got it around the same time i got mine, his now looks dirty and shows alot of wear. One glance and you can tell its really old. Most of the wear and stains are on the keys, touch pad, and where the hands are placed while typing/mousing. My advice is, anyone who is planning on keeping an fw for a very long time with frequent/hard use should get a grey in order to mask its aging ;-)

    I like that look. In fact my 5 year old son uses my old Inspiron 6000.

    You really like the white keys? Not me.

    Personal choice, of course. Luckily, we have a choice. :)

    Did you see it in real life?

    My choice is more about the lids than about the keys. I did not like the grey lid. It gave a boring look.

    I saw the SR with white keys next to the FW with black keys. I much, much prefer the overall look of the black keys.

    I haven't seen the FW with the white lid, but then again I don't care as much about the lid color. The vast majority of the time I'm looking at the keyboard, not the lid. ;)

    By the way, the black keys on the FW felt better than the white keys on the SR. The black keys had more of a matte-type feel, vs. a slightly more gloss-type feel on the white.

    Now I have no idea if this is a black vs. white thing or FW vs. SR thing... but there was a difference.

    I saw the gray/black FW in the store and thought it was nice.....but in a business way, I would think the white would be more of a clean contemporary look, which I like. I wish they offered more color choices like the CR/NR.

    the sonyvaio X505 used that keyboard style back in 2004.
    I believe the macbook was released in 2006 by apple.. so it is sony macbook actully :D

    white reminds me too much of mac, and I am not a fan of mac's product designs, all kind of boring with no style. Gray is the better option in my view.

    Well if anything reminds me of apple it's aluminum with grey keys, like the MB Air.

    I don't think apple ever made an aluminum laptop with white keys. ;)

    The MBA design is expected to be continued in the next Macbook.

    i prefer the gray one, but i don't really like either :p Im forced into the white one anyways though as that is the configuration i need (should i end up choosing the FW, it will be the white one)...

    i agree with a previous poster - all black would be the best.

    After giving it some serious thought, I've decided that I'm torn between the two.

    I simply can't decide if I prefer the FW in gray, or if I'd like it better in grey.

    I like the white one, I know it looks like an apple, but I don't hate apple's styling really. Still, I hate the fact that the bottom is still black...
