Anyone get one yet? Any word on a release date in the US?
-
You'd have to be in Japan to get it, I'm waiting for the U.S. release too, but no word yet.

G is the 12" 2lb one right?
I dont think that the US is going to get it. -
It is a 12" ultraportable yes. In the past Sony has really lagged in moving ultraportable machines from Japan to the U.S. but they have done it after 6 months or so (such as the X505 and UX series)

I just wish the screen was widescreen and it had a higher resolution, the screen is very bleh to me.

Anything comparable from Asus in the works that will be available soon?

I can't tell if it's an XBRITE or not. If it had a core duo in it, it'd be better. Looks like a standard 2.5" drive, tho
Dynamism has 'em for order if you want one ...
I do agree WXGA would be better than XGA, but it's fundamentally a different machine than the TX line. It's the same weight as my JVC 741, but with WAY better spec. -
Anyone have any updated info on the US version? I don't fault Dynamism but it would cost me about $1000 more than a US model due to the conversion and mark up (which I don't blame them for - it isn't a charity).
