I have a Vaio FW series laptop and whenever i unplug the power cord from the laptop when it is running a blue screen appears. It says a bunch of stuff but i cant really make out what it says since its really quick and then the laptop restarts. This is getting very annoying. It even happen a few times when i unplugged a USB drive from the laptop. It just recently started a few days ago, before that it was perfectly fine. I have no clue what could be causing this.

    Help is appreciated!

I'm not sure if this helps but I had a similar problem.

The other night windows update installed 4 updates one of which caused a BSOD whenever I ran my machine (Vaio Z running Vista 64) with an external monitor. After faffing around for a bit I worked out the problem update was KB973879. I uninstalled that update and it's been fine since. To avoid windows update automatically installing the dodgy update again use the following.

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click Check for updates and then, when Windows finds updates for your computer, click View available updates.
    3. Right-click the update (KB973879), and then click Hide update. The next time you check for updates, the update won't be automatically selected or installed.

BSOD's are maddening so I really hope this works for you

    Regards

    I have Vaio Z 720 D.
BSOD started to appear yesterday. It appears:

    a) on startup when in STAMINA mode
    b) after couple of minutes of work in SPEED mode
    c) when switching between these modes

Didn't figure out how to fix the issue. Hope it's not hardware related.

I was just coming here to post about this very same issue - it just started happening to me as well this morning. I have a Vaio FW also.

I uninstalled the latest three updates before coming here and hopefully that worked. Not sure if (KB973879) was amongst them though.
