I recently purchased a Vaio VGN-SR390 with HDMI out. However, I'm not getting audio through the HDMI, even with internet content. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere? I've verified that my receiver/TV are working properly, as a BlueRay player with HDMI out gives both video and audio. I'm running XP on my laptop.

What graghics card does it have? It's possible the bios need an update, or the GPU it's self isn't supporting it. Just an idea to look into, cause I know some older GPUs are having issues when it comes to audio

You need to go in Control Panel select Sound and Audio Devices and select HDMI as Sound Playback device on the Audio tab. I'm on XP as well on my TT and that's what I do to get Audio through HDMI, on Vista driver should switch it automatically when HDMI is connected but not XP...
