8 lbs is kind of heavy (I am a student) Is there a similarly priced and featured Vaio that is lighter? Also, is there anyway to buy the vaio online for a student discount? The specs say that battery life is 3 hrs...is that 3 hrs if I am just using MS Word or is that 3 hrs of gaming/video use? I was all set to buy a HP before I saw how great the vaio looks. Now I really want one, but I want to make sure that it is a good choice. Also, I need the 3 yr accidental warranty....can I get that through a vendor (like best buy or circut city) or is that addition only available through direct purchase from SOny. THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP!!!

    CAT
