I got a old viao laptop from co-worker and when trying to boot it up i get normal picture till get to the windows loading picture which does not show up. Can get to the BIOS and everything is reset to default settings, tried reinstalling windows but it goes through the normal installing phase till you need to boot to the hard drive and when get to same spot LCD goes black with no backlight on even. The power light stays on, the dvd drive will not even open then.

I am using powersupply and it can stay in the bios for hours without the same problem happening it only happens when try and get into windows.

Any suggests or something to test would be wonderful.

    Thank you.
