    Hi

I have a Sony Vaio that started to give me low memory warnings this
morning. By the time I clicked all of them off (they kept coming so
FAST), the computer locked in a cycle. It keeps checking disk, and
when that is done it goes to the black screen where you have the
options of safe mode etc. I've tried them all, but it just keeps
cycling between those two screens, from disk checking to black screen
options. I've tried turning it off several times but the same results
happen. Any way I can get it out of this cycle to start working on the
    low memory problem?

    Thanks.

Was it low virtual memory or low hard drive?

Is it possible for you to do anything in safe mode or does it automatically start checking your disk again? Try booting into safe mode/command line and use a solution from here:

Then restart, and clear out your hard drive.

If I try to reboot when it cycles to that screen, anything I choose will result in a quick screen full of

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\System32\\Driversetc.

Then it flashes a blue screen with a lot of info on it for about a second - too fast to read, although the last line says something about memory dump. Then it goes right back to disk checking. As soon as I stop the disk checking or let it count all the way down, it goes back to the black screen with the safe mode choices again. That's all it continues to do. Thanks for any help.

Just to follow up - I have found my 3 recovery disks. I inserted the first one and the screen says:

WARNING: The D drive not found

The D drive is not accessible.

Some software applications may notwork correctly when the D drive is not accessible.

Type Y to delete all partitions and create the C and D drives.

Type N to continue the restore process without creating a D drive.

What I want to know is, if I choose one of these options, will it wipe my C drive clean? I am trying to get to Windows to print a few things I have on my C drive. After that, I'll probably wipe it clean anyway.
