    Hi all!

I'm considering buying a VAIO N21E/W, it comes with a Core Duo T2250 1,77ghz, an Intel GMA 950 (with up to 256mb shared) and 1 gig of ram (2x512).

It's bundled with Vista Home Premium, does this necessarily mean it will run vista with aero ?
Also since there is only 1 gig of ram and it's shared with the graphics chip, do you think I will be able to run the following smoothly : Vista with aero, Office 2007, live messenger, an AV, a few IE7 tabs and watch SD quality movies (not necessarily all at once) ?

    Thanks for your advice!

It should run aero without any problems. My notebook has similar specs to the one you mentioned, and it came with Vista Home Premium and runs aero just fine. The notebook you mentioned should also be able to run all the programs you listed also, as mine does. The difference between my notebook and the one you're considering purchasing is that mine has a slightly slower processor. Hope this helps.

get 2gb for vista since you don't have a better cpu and gpu to the system, or else you will feel so slow when opening applications with aero on.
