As I was watching a video on my Vaio PCG 71511L last night, the sound suddenly disappeared from the left side of my earphones.

I tried another set of earphones, and the same thing happened. I switched my SIIG USB audio adapter to a different usb port, with no success. Then I tried a Turtle Bay USB sound adapter, and had the same problem.

I also plugged the headphones directly into the headphone jack, and still only had sound on one side of the earphones.

Reinstalled the SIIG driver didn't help, nor did changing the mix.

Before I take my computer in for repairs, I was wondering if anyone had any further suggestions on what to try.

    Thanks.
