    Where Can i get a LONGER vaio power cord for my FW? the power cord i got with the laptop is like 2 feet. I have to get a longer one. any ideas?

    I assume you mean the power cord socket to "brick".

    Go to any privately owned electrical appliance shop (large ones possibly won't order it) and ask if they can order it.

    As far as I am aware, the plug between power cord and "brick" is standardized.

    I do have a question. WHy are they two pronged instead of three pronged? I never understood that. Most laptops are three pronged, LOL.

    three pronged = earthed
    two pronged = not earthed

    Simple as that.

    No I'm not sure two prongs will fit into a three pronged slot.

    that went over my head.. LOL. Why does it matter if its earthed or not earthed?

    Well, theoretically earthed appliances are safer (especially if made from metal onthe outside) - but I don't feel like digging up an extensive explanation.
