Why is there no difference between VAIO CPU Fan Control Level 3 to Level 5? Here's what I found by checking the CPU top speed with CPU-Z 1.39 and having Unreal 2 run in the background. (Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz, SZ381 P)

Level 1: CPU Top Speed = 1 GHz
Level 2: CPU Top Speed = 1.67 GHz
Level 3: CPU Top Speed = 2.16 GHz
Level 4: CPU Top Speed = 2.16 GHz
Level 5: CPU Top Speed = 2.16 GHz.

Also, it seems that even though I turn CPU Fan Control of and set CPU Control to Performance instead of Adaptive or Battery Life, the CPU speed still varies depending on the load. Is there anyway that I can force the CPU to always run at 2.16 GHz regardless of the load?

Yes you can set it to always be on level 5. That is the way it comes. I set mine to variable.

Hi, when I set it up to level 5, the CPU speed still drops to 1 GHz and won't jump to 2.16 unless I give it a heavy load. How do I fix the speed to always stay at 2.16 GHz regardless of the load?

i wondered the same thing. It seems that even with no power settings on, the cpu clock speed varies.
