Hi All, Looking for a bit of help.

I recently replaced the i5/4gb motherboard with an i7/8gb in my Pro 13. My issue is that when watching web videos in Chrome the machine shuts down. Its not your normal windows crash so I'm very confident this is due to heat or some other instability.

    1) Is there a chance that Sony used a less powerful fan in the i5 machines which causes mine to be unable to cool this i7 CPU ?

    2) Can anyone with an i7 machine advise on normal use temperatures and what is considered safe?

    3) Is it possible the this CPU is dying...thus the random shut downs ?

I have the performance mode set to Standard and I'm running W10 Pro.

    Any thoughts ?
