hi guys
Please, I need help to solve an small problem... A little amount of water fell close to the laptop so I guess the water came in to the usb zone or audio zone.... then I turned off the computer and tried to dry.... now the laptop turns on, Works well but there is no 5v current for the fan and the internal speakers dont work. the audio is ok (I've tested with my earphones), the touchscreen is ok, the wifi is ok, the bluetooth is ok, both usb are ok, the HDMI terminal is ok.... Does someone know about the electronic of this laptop to help me to identify maybe the fuse or the root of the problem? I've read 5v in some places of the mobo but I dont know why specifically those functions are out.
sorry by my grammar

You need to submerge the portions of the laptop with water damage in RICE. And let it sit for a few days. The rice should help absorb moisture.
-
yea, thank you, but the mainboard has been subjected into a hot flow air for around 2 hours.... I suppose there is no moisture. the only thing I know is that the 5v circuit has been damaged.
-
If I had to guess, the electrical components on the system board that control your fan and speakers are damaged, and you will probably have to replace the board.
-
yes, perhaps you are right, but the only problem that the mainboard has is the lost of 5v circuit.. I suppose that this damage has an easy way to be fixed but really I don't know how to solve the problem, that is why I am asking here.
-
I think IC chips control the voltage and audio on the system board, and they are soldered in by machines. Maybe somebody will respond here that is handy with a soldering iron, but I really do not think there is an easy solution to the problem. I really hope you get your laptop fixed though and wish you the best of luck!

Check the areas where the liquid got in for any sign of corrosion. A magnifier glass may help you find it better.
-
there isn't any sign of corrosion areas.... I would expect to find the fuse or 0 ohm resistor damaged but I haven't find anything yet.
-
How are you checking the fuses? With a multimeter, I hope. Blown fuses won't look damaged.
You might have better luck trying to find the USB power controller. It should have a line carrying the battery voltage running to it.
For future reference, when you spill somthing on your laptop, turn it off, unplug the adaptor, and remove the battery. So many people forget that last part. -
yes, I've checked with a multimeter... I check the resistance...Is this ok? yeah, I know about the battery but the problem is that the battery is attached to the laptop... I opened the laptop and remove the battery but I guess that was not enough
