Vaio Pro 13 Keyboard Backlight Problem (Windows 10)

Hi,

I did a clean update to Windows 10 and installed all the recommended software found on this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/sony-newest-drivers-windows-10-guide.780536/

However the vaio control center is does not have the keyboard backlight function

Any help?

Hi! What is your version of VAIO Control center and the Firmware extension parser driver?

Mine is:
FEPD 8.0.2.5
Shared Library: 6.1.0.02040
Sony Control Center: 6.2.17.09140

Those work for me, no issues at all.

I have the exact same. I did a reset and installed the ones as yours but unfotunately the keyboard section is not there. is there a link to the Japanese Vaio control centre?

Mmmm interesting. I have the option under "Input Device", just below "Touchpad Operations".




Do you have that category?
Also, check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sony Corporation\VAIO Control Center\Plugins HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sony Corporation\VAIO Control Center\Modules, to see if KBDBacklightSetting is there.

BTW, if anyone is still running Windows 8.1, could be interesting to have a .reg of this entire tree. I believe could be possible to enable features just messing with this.
