My laptop was not connecting to the LAN at school and after close inspection realized that the RJ45 jack had 2 pins that were broken off, is there anyway to fix this without buying a new jack? I am over seas and it would probably be at least a month or two before i got it anyways.

I am afraid you have no other choice than buying a new jack or part.

if your laptop has an expresscard slot, you could pick up an expresscard for lan and use that.

    example:

Look in the local shops for a RJ45 to USB converter.
