    Hi,

I just did a recovered my S48 using the recovery CD I created when I first purchased my notebook.

I noticed when I was reinstalling it provided an option to create a single drive instead of a C & D, which I did. It then also asked if I wanted to still use the recovery partition of 5GB which I disabled.

Is this going to impact my use of the notebook?

Ive now got it up and running and noticed the Recovery Utility will not load until it has the 5GB partition. I gather this partition is to save your current settings? So you can restore it will all your programs intacked? Or just to create an additional recovery CD?

    Thanks

    Nick

Both. If you dont create recovery DVD and CD, you should keep this partition otherwise you can wipe it and keep your recovery meda.
